A few days ago, it was our third anniversary! To celebrate, we’re announcing this and also that you can get 25% off any donator rank! Just use the code 3YEARS at checkout. You can do this until the 31st of May.
Now that 1.9 has been out for a bit and Spigot/plugin support has stabilised a bit, it’s time to reveal what we’ve been working on for a while – a map reset.
The map has become very big and quite unwieldy, with a lot of abandoned/unfinished builds. This also lets us reset The End in preparation for the massive updates to it in 1.9.
Staff have been working on this for a while already, and there is still quite a lot to do before it’s ready to use. We do not have an estimated time for when it will be finished yet, but we’ll be sure to update you whenever that happens.
A few things you’ll probably wonder about:
What happens to all the hard work I’ve done?
When we start the move, the new map and the old map will run alongside each other for three months. During this time, you won’t be able to build in the old world, but you can pay a fee (only in-game currency) to have it moved to the new map.
UPDATE: Pricing for moving things:
Chests only: 10 000
Chests + build: 30 000
When this moving period starts, we’ll come out with a new blog post detailing how to move things.
What about the Elytra/glider wings? Will I need to explore The End to find it?
You’ll have the option of exploring The End to find the Elytra, but as we’d prefer to keep the world size down we’ll be providing an option of buying this item for in-game currency (still working on price). A certain rank will also be able to craft it.
We can’t wait to show you all the hard work we’ve done!
