Okay, so this mod allows you to craft various different pieces of furniture such as bookshelves (which actually store books), armor stands that can display your armors, racks and cases, and labels; all beautifully done, allowing players to display the various items they have like trophies and to bring a higher immersion to Minecraft. These new blocks are also interactive, as players can, for example, toggle cases to be open or closed. The creator also paid attention to compatibility with the new blocks and vanilla worlds, with several configuration options available. Right now it’s available to Minecraft 1.7.10 which shows the developer is still updating it with new content. I have used this mod before and I loved it, I hope you guys can consider it as a worthwhile mod, as I’m sure many players will enjoy it in the future.
There is probably a lot I left out or didn’t mention, so feel free to check the “about” tab on the main page of the mod. Thankyou.July 21, 2014 at 10:57 am #636
Sadly adding a mod to a server means that everyone will need to have downloaded the mod and have it installed to play. However, I am aware of what this mod does and I do believe it is pretty neat. I can however talk to the other Founders and see what their opinion is on adding this. But I do think that many of our players will not be able to play (due to computers that may not be able to handle the mod).July 21, 2014 at 12:26 pm #637
I understand. If it will stop players from being able to play on the server then maybe its best that the mod is not added. If there is any way to add the mod so other players don’t necessarily need to have it installed or the mod can be installed for them, etc, great; if not, I’m really not bothered as long as people can still enjoy the server.
thankyou for replying!July 21, 2014 at 1:44 pm #638
Yeah, I think this mod is really cool but unfortunately both the server and the client needs to have Forge + the mod installed to be able to play with it. It would not work to have others play that don’t have it either as Minecraft won’t render chunks that have invalid block types in them. We would also have to revert to an older version of Minecraft for this to work due to Forge. Thanks for the suggestion though, it’s good to have people suggesting new things, but they should be Bukkit plugins and not mods so we have a chance to add them 🙂July 21, 2014 at 1:50 pm #639
Of course, I understand 🙂 If I see any good plugins around I’ll make sure to suggest them!
